Exactly, because to act according to your values, you need to know them first. I won’t touch creating your own set of values here, that’s too deep for an introduction course.

Values are your own safety net, your lighthouse, your north star.

They come into play when you enter unknown terrain and don’t know how to react to a new situation. And that will happen often when you want to become a leader. You will have to deal with people’s personal stories, grief, but also heart warming stories.

Your values are the answer to how you should react in these situations.
