You create your own luck
The situation you are in right now can be followed back to some key decisions you made in your life. It's like a red line that follows through your career.
Did you talk to the right people - or where you to lazy or complacent to take the call? Opportunities appear only to those who are willing and visible.
There are three perspectives you need to have in mind about this.
- For yourself: You need to put yourself out there. In your business, in your personal life, online. Wherever you want to be seen, heard, ..., it's your job to be present. No one will do this for you.
- For your direct reports: Teach and show this principle to them.
- For the invisible: Sometimes we can clearly see someone's potential - then it can be your job to drag them outside of the comfort zone and help them make their own luck.
